Don't want Trump, Powell, Giuliani, to steal all the attention, these equally stupid people deserve their 15 minutes, or at least 5...
Even more confusing... he's not a white mouth breathing redneck, yet he decided that he had 17 years to throw away...

Well said, and I hope more and more people finally realize the illusion they have been buying into.As someone who is Asian, there are a lot of Asian rednecks out there. Redneckistan accepts all races. The dumber, the merrier.
Many Asians, specifically those of east Asian descent, find the message of the GOP very appealing. And that of justice and order, as well as small government. It does hold appeal to many like my parents who were fleeing war and communism. I know it's an illusion and the GQP are hypocrites, but the the allure is there.
Of course, if Trump spotted him at a rally, he'd probably say something like "look at my Asian over there"As someone who is Asian, there are a lot of Asian rednecks out there. Redneckistan accepts all races. The dumber, the merrier.

WASHINGTON — A former Donald Trump political appointee at the State Department who tried to storm the Capitol and assaulted law enforcement officers on Jan. 6, 2021, was sentenced to 70 months in prison on Friday.
Federico Klein was arrested in March 2021 and convicted of eight felonies as well as misdemeanor offenses by U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden, also a Trump appointee, in July 2023 following a bench trial.
Can't imagine anyone at State participating except for a Trump appointee.6 years for this proud Trump appointee...

Trump-hatted rioter sentenced for bear-spraying 8 officers on Jan. 6
Edward Rodriguez, known to online sleuths as "SuitMacer," was one of hundreds of rioters identified by "Sedition Hunters." He was sentenced to three years in prison.www.nbcnews.com
Judge Dabney L. Friedrich handed down the sentence, less than half of what prosecutors had sought, citing Rodriguez’s mental health needs.
Freidrich said it was "truly one of the hardest January 6th sentencings I've had" and alluded to some of the material that was disclosed only in a sealed proceeding. She said that Rodriguez needed "continued mental health treatment" but that a period of incarceration was necessary for general deterrence.
Rodriguez, the judge said, was "easily manipulated" and believed it was his duty to come to the capital on Jan. 6 and that the dozens of form email messages he received from the Trump campaign and its affiliates about Jan. 6 were personal invitations rather than mass mailings.
Rodriguez, who wore a suit that appeared to be made of satin to court Monday, was in a "state of mania" when he assaulted law enforcement officers that day, said his attorney, Nora Hirozawa, of the federal public defenders' office in New York.
Friedrich sealed the courtroom for part of the proceedings to discuss Rodriguez's mental health and what Hirozawa described as his "diminished capacity." Hirozawa said before the court was sealed that she did not think that the mental health treatment available from the federal Bureau of Prisons was adequate.
Easy.
My parents fled war and communism. They fled an authoritarian government. They wanted the freedom to be able to raise their kids, and to just enjoy life. Things they never would have gotten had they stayed.
There are so many countries in southeast Asia that has experienced similar unrest in recent times. I'm talking about within the past 50 years, or so. Vietnam, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Korea, and many more countries.
When the prospect of peace, personal freedom, and a smaller hands off government is presented, of course it is highly attractive to those who have experienced an authoritarian government, or experienced civil unrest such as wars.
The GOP promises more personal freedoms and small government. I know it is an illusion. Many of those that fled to America as refugees are not the most highly educated. They hear the surface message, and do not have the knowledge or understanding to see beyond that.
There's also a certain "head in the sand" mentality for certain things like abortion and book bannings that the GOP has initiated. This was bred into them because that was the only way they could have survived war, and the government in their country of origin.
I know the message of the GOP party is a lie. Their actions are authoritarian. Their actions give us less personal freedoms. Sadly, the older generation, especially first generation immigrants, are not able to see that.
In all honesty, I did not pay much attention to politics and who is voted into office until I started my own family, and paid more attention to the environment my kids will grow up into. By no means am I some political savant, but at least I can say I am more politically conscious.

A former California police chief who brought a hatchet to the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison for his role in the siege.
Alan Hostetter, who spewed conspiracy theories during his trial and again at his sentencing hearing Thursday, was found guilty of multiple felony charges, including conspiracy, in July.
The Justice Department said Hostetter drove from his home state of California to Washington, D.C., before Jan. 6 instead of flying "so that he could load his car with weapons." Federal prosecutors said he met up with others on the morning of the attack and brought "tactical gear, a helmet, hatchets, knives, stun batons, pepper spray, and other gear for himself and others." He attended the rally at the White House Ellipse before walking to the Capitol, carrying a hatchet in his backpack, according to prosecutors.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Federal prosecutors are seeking to have a Brevard man's pre-trial release order revoked after he was accused of punching a woman in the throat at an Asheville bar, just months after being arrested for his accused actions during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Alan Michael St. Onge, of Brevard, is charged with felony civil disorder and three misdemeanor charges, including entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, and impeding passage through the Capitol grounds or buildings. According to the U.S. Justice Department, St. Onge was seen on video participating in the breach of the police barricade on the east plaza of the U.S. Capitol before traveling to the Lower West Terrace tunnel. Federal officials said once inside the tunnel, he repeatedly pushed against the police line. He was arrested in North Carolina on June 16, 2023, and made his initial court appearance in the Western District of North Carolina.
