How can they not know what carrier picked it up. They had to pay someone for shipping. Did you ever try putting the tracking number into one of the other carriers? DHL does a lot of handoffs to USPS for foreign mail. UPS and Fedex drop packages off at post office as well - been a while, one of them has a "1Z" at the beginning of tracking number.
I am positive it was shipping from China, it started with AS and last 2 letters CN, my efforts resulted in about 4 possible carriers, but the websites didn't use https and where mostly written in Chinese, not sure how well Google translated. Maybe it will show up in a month, the one I leaned to most had avg time to US of 39 days, some were in the 60 range. Maybe RDNA 4 will be out by then lol.

If it was refunded quickly it suggests Amazon expects nothing and they know from the other 20 lucky ones.

On the other hand I guess you've lost nothing but time.

I had a 3090 Ti get lost on its way to me. Showed up about 10 weeks later, well after it had been refunded and presumably the vendor had done the insurance claim on it.

Installed it in the clients PC, who had ordered it on their card and dealt with the refund to ensure if there had been a warranty issue it was all in the clear.

So that’s maybe the only rub. It’s “free” but you should consider it as-is and without a warranty, and if you’re being a smidge ethical and resell it not long after you get it to note it as such. The way GPU warranties work now if the card could be a couple years old it’s buyer beware as far as I am concerned.

LOL zero chance that's legit, come on. "If it's too good to be true..."

I'll see your $722, and raise to $563

That one seems like a definite scam. New Chinese company that just launched. One of the things I hate about Amazon is the 4.4 star rating makes it seem like the rating is for this seller rather than the product, plus an Amazon's Choice tag and 400+ sold in past month.

No its like upper half of 600 now lol, different shop. Did some digging, there are Sapphire manufacturing places down near that harbor. Could be backdoored stuff. who knows.

I put the regular MSRP one in my cart, and overnight Amazon changed it to we found a better price nonsense, couldn't find an actual Sapphire card that would be a reasonably priced one. UNTIL you slide the Amazon Prime slider in the filter section. LOL.

Maybe it will show up, maybe it won't. Maybe I'll have a block for sale. Although MmM is awesome with their customer service. Refund for a small restocking fee, or will store credit if unused, or will work with trading for a block for whatever card I end up with.
Already got the Amazon refund back.

EDIT: Seems Sapphire is affected the most by these Chinese sellers. IDK why. Might be factory workers brown boxing them.

I wonder if it's just a write off for them.
I'm curious. What would Amazon even write off? Amazon doesn't pay the 3rd party seller immediately. It's some time after delivery. The transaction fee? Pretty sure they get that refunded.

And for the Chinese seller there was no GPU. So nothing for them to write off either.

They definitely keep the transaction fees from the seller.

Amazon wants so badly to be the one place anyone ever thinks to shop they’ll let a lot of fraud go. It’s better to be the one stop shop than practically anything else.
