Did you have any issues with installation? Where did you buy it?Plying it now. No bugs or issues. Its pretty damn good IMO.
1.63 is pretty good actually! If you aren't going to get the expansion, I see no absolute reason why you need to install v2.0 unless you're relying on a lot of online guides. Online guides are slowly shifting all their info over to v2.0 and it doesn't seem like they're doing much to preserve 1.63 info.I'm still debating just waiting and playing the 1.63 patch since I've never really gotten far in the game.
Every single time I want to jump straight into a brand new game on launch, this is why I wait. I understand not all the bugs and glitches are game-breaking but just giving a game a few months is usually enough that you won't be plagued by as many bugs and performance issues as those who tried to play on day one.And now I have further reasons to wait a few months before buying this expansion and maybe play the "original" game first.
1. Go to:
<...>\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\publishing\x64
2. Create a copy of the “GOG” subfolder next to the original one.
3. Rename the copy of the “GOG” folder to “null”
4. Go to:
<...>\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64
and delete the:
GameServicesGOG.dll
Interesting. Lots of people have been requesting it after they learned that they didn't like v2.0 as much. Very big of GoG to offer that.Offline installer for 1.63 version is now available to download at GoG. Can get it via the galaxy launcher or the website. 113GB.
Well as mentioned before, you can just play 1.63 if you like, or even 2.0_PL (which is the version you need to patch in Phantom Liberty if you bought it) using offline installers. GoG Galaxy isn't necessary unless you really must have any pre-order rewards available to you (or other promotional rewards, which for some reason require Galaxy).well that's all a bummer. For some reason, all of my clients no longer launch on this computer--GoG, Origin, Battle, net. and it's been that way for months. No fix works so I think I just need to reformat alltogether....but I plan to upgrade this desktop within the year, anyway.
Even so, for some reason, GoG stopped being able to load or even update CP2077 more than a year ago. I have no idea why. It's all good, though, because there really is no reason for me to try this updated version and PL on this 2700K / VEGA64.
....I might just move over the desktop from my racing rig: 5700X/6800XT and just update that computer, though. It's only a year old but could be much better served with a 7800X3D / 7900xxxx whatever: 7620 x 1440 @140hz+ is no joke!
It's not bad in principle, especially if they handled it the same way as with most other GoG releases from pretty much any publisher. If you have a promotional item in a GoG release, normally it's packaged as a separate DLC which you can patch onto virtually any version of the game past a certain version (example: PL pre-order stuff would require v2.0_PL or later). For CDPR's own releases, it seems like they want to use reward/bonus items as a way to induce people to install Galaxy.Ugh, the promotional tie ins. Don't get me started on the deal with Twitch and gifting two subscriptions to a group of selected streamers to get a sniper rifle in the game.
That sounds like a huge pain in the butt. By "save games tied to it" do you mean autosaves? So I have fallen prey to the corrupt save gamed glitch. As I was finishing up the DLC the game crashed and all save games tied to it got corrupt. Had to load the last manual save and do the last main mission again, which is very long and not fun doing again, saving manually as I went and completed it. So yay. I load up up this morning to do some side stuff and BAM, crash and corrupt save games. Will wait until patch 2.1 but from what I read it will not fix the corrupt saves, only wont corrupt going forward. Really sucks as I really don't want to play from the beginning again.
Yep.That sounds like a huge pain in the butt. By "save games tied to it" do you mean autosaves?
Interesting. So far I'm not having problems with 2.0_PL but if I run into anything major I might patch.2.01 hit my system this morning. Haven't tried it yet.
Looks like they'll release a new update in December with new stuff like a metro system.

If I need to wait that long for the game to be in its final shape, I'm gonna need a brain implant in 2077!At this rate its shaping up to be the GOTY in 2077.
Or their sales data is telling them that every free update brings with it free publicity that translates directly into a healthy sales uptick.Seems like they left some stuff on the cutting room floor and maybe they're bringing it back?
