A few years ago OLED prices dipped low enough I was seriously considering buying one but ended up with a cheap $310 4k LED/LCD instead. Meanwhile my buddy dropped tall cash on a fantastic OLED a couple sizes bigger.
Our TV looks pretty good but his OLED was just breathtaking.
Now some years later he is complaining about burn in from the YouTube logo. Breaks my heart.
Probably left paused for many hours with static content. OLEDs are wasted on children that won't appreciate it. Best to get a cheap LED/LCD in that situation.
I have a friend who any time he tells me that his children ruined something, I tell him in a strong tone to keep expensive stuff away from them. And he is like, they are just kids. Probably that's why I don't have kids. I can't imagine anyone forgiving their loved ones for destroying a very nice piece of electronic equipment.
