Finally finished Elden Ring today.

Apparently I got the best/secret ending according to this:

I was like level 176 or something when I beat it. I found the final boss the toughest in the game. I beat em with no flasks left too so it was close after like 10-12 tries.

I doubt I will be putting much if anymore time into this game. What an awesome ride it was.

Frenzied Flame is the best ending. Burn that parasitic alien life to the ground. (IMO, most people probably disagree)

I honestly have no clue really wtf the story in this game was overall lol. I just liked playing it and the atmosphere and everything. I like how few cutscenes the whole game has.

Later playthroughs go so quickly. Started a new playthrough today and have already progressed to the haligtree. Just banging outthat third playthrough for the plat, though hope it doesn't make me go to Journey 4 when the inevitable dlc comes, as there is little I can do to make my build stronger with vigor 60, endurance 50, mind 65, strength 80, dex 80, faith 25, and arcane 67.

I'm right there with you. After I beat the game, I watched some lore videos on Youtube from people who have the time to sift through item descriptions and the like to find out WTF is going on.

Finally platinumed Elden Ring. Elden Beast actually ends up pretty tough on the third playthrough. Now time to play something else for the first time in two months lol.

I don't plan on playing this game ever again after I beat it so I'm literally exploring everywhere.

You can expect some pretty awesome DLC in a year or so based on FromSoft's track record. For example, the DLC for Bloodborne ended up by far the best part of the game. It'll be a Day 1 buy and Day 1 play for me.

The worst part is, I can't get into any other games after this masterpiece. Tried Skyward Sword HD on the Switch and felt like I was cheating with trailer trash. Don't even see myself firing up Horizon Forbidden West either. Is it too soon for Elden Ring 2 or at least some DLC?

Just realized I probably won't find another game as enjoyable as Elden Ring until we're talking about playing on the PS6 since I usually only find one 10/10 game per generation.

I accidently struck millicent on the mountain after saving her. Now everytime I come near she attacks me. Did some research and I already have the item I was supposed to give her but she attacks me on site.

When you piss off NPCs accidentally, you can go visit the turtle pope and fix it.

Wish they had something like that in Bloodborne. Was just getting used to the controls with it being my first Souls game, and accidentally threw a molotov in Eileen the Crow's face, and then proceeded to get wrecked by her any time I walked near or through that building until I finally got good enough to kill her.

If you're playing a dex build it's a good thing because you need to murder her later for her talisman.

You think Millicents Prosthesis from killing her is better than the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia you get for assisting her? I know the prosthesis gives you +5 dex, but if you're on a dex build and made it to Malenia you're probably already at 80 dex anyways. And Rotten Winged Sword Insignia hits hard, especially if you're doing a blood build focused on getting lots of quicker attacks instead of slower stance breaking attacks.

Guess it would depend on the build. There is only a 4% damage difference between a Prosthesis and a Rotten removing the +5dex from the equation. If the +5dex makes up 4% or more damage then your just as good or better. That +5 dex is also front loaded damage compared to Rotten. Plus you can get the Prosthesis earlier on in the quest chain than you can Rotten.

The 1.04 patch buffed the hell out of magic. So many things use less FP, have less attack speed and less recovery speed.

I gotta see if they finally nerfed Corpse Piler, god that move is wicked with the range it has for a bleed attack.

Maybe this is just me but I was incredibly disappointed with Malenia as a boss. I did not look or read much about the game before I started playing it to not spoil anything. I did now that she was considered the hardest or one of the hardest bosses in the game and that she was near the end. Before reaching her I was expecting something akin to the Nameless King or Friede. Harder fights but what I consider to be fairly well designed. Malenia on the other hand is just a very simple fight with a very aggressive singular move and a silly gimmick in that she heals.

Generally speaking, I had way more trouble with earlier bosses than I did later ones because of how powered up I was for the later ones.

Everyone experiences fights differently. I one-shot the final boss and it wasn't close, but Melania destroyed me.

I meant Elden Beast, as 1.03 is where that one shot magic (forget what it was called) got neutered heavily I heard.
