Here's another Christmas Balls joke told at a public convention by a big company CEO. He got in some trouble for it:

"When I was younger I wish I could have told myself from the future to have more sex. Because as you get older the Christmas Tree does not stand as tall and the balls are just for decoration.

Filed under weird stuff that pops into your head.

If a ship leaks a few gallons of oil these days, it makes all sorts of headlines about environmental catastrophes.

But in the 30s and 40s, hundreds of large ships were sunk or damaged and you know there must have been an awful lot of oils and fuels released. But that's a part of the war stories I don't recall ever seeing.

Probably water getting in the lines somewhere. The big trunks with like 600 pairs tend to be pressurized to keep water out but the smaller ones are not.

This white cat fed by someone in my villa likes to hound me, especially when I'm taking food from the delivery guy. I must've given it something to eat long ago and it refuses to forget. So last night my dinner had five honey chicken wings and it must've smelled it coz it made a real ruckus and wouldn't stop meowing. Stopped in front of the door preventing me from going in. It was going like "Gimme the chicken wings! Give em to me. NOW!". I tried to move it with my feet but it got angry and struck my shoe hard with its paw, with an indignant meow saying "How dare you touch me with your shoe!". While it was complaining about that, I immediately went in and closed the door. Phew!

After dinner, I went outside with leftover chicken wing bones and skin (there were five wings) and set it down on a plastic cover in the porch. Waited a few minutes wondering where the damn cat was. Then it came and started going round and round my legs meowing, "Where's my chicken wings, you chicken wings thief you!". Idiot couldn't smell them. Had to walk to the plastic cover and then it found the food. It sat down and crunched almost everything down its throat. Cat insides must be really rugged to survive sharp bones going down it. So it finishes its meal and now the meowing is more friendly and grateful sounding, going like "Ummmm that was good. You have more? More you have, huh????" I was like, yeah, keep dreaming you annoying cat. Gonna be a while till I feed you again. I rarely eat chicken wings. Tough luck. Enjoy being mad at me!

Call me crazy, but I thought best practices were to secure small bones like chicken bones from being eaten by dogs and cats.
Oh no, sorry! I didn't know that! But it's an outdoor cat so it probably does that all the time (eating from garbage etc.)

But thanks for telling me. I won't be feeding it any bones anymore.

The cat should be alright. Cats eat whole birds, and just leave the heads. For an inside pet, you want to eliminate any chance of problem, so you don't feed them bones, but eating bones is what they do.

It's the process of cooking that makes them bad news, IIRC.

I've had six goldfish in an outdoor pond for several years. (They winter over just fine). Today I noticed one floating belly up. Grabbed a net, pulled it out, threw it away. Went back to the pond. There are six goldfish swimming.
