Yes 8 gen 3 is more efficient than 7+ gen 3 even in devices, check video he test some games and 7+ gen 3 was meh, devices with 8 gen 3 have Excellent battery life, so it can replicate that efficiency in real life too.
Sooo, device tests on websites like gsmarena and notebookcheck and such, well they obviously don't isilate for SOC, but you are saying that any battery life shortcoming of phones with 8G3S are due to other factors?The idea is that in low-load workloads, the 8G3 will consume less power than 7+ G3. But when you push them with a high load, 8G3 will consume more power than 7+ G3.
That does not mean it is less efficient, as yhe 8G3 would still deliver higher "FPS per watt" in games for instance.

(1) They can port their titles to native ARM64 for the best CPU performance and power usage since Qualcomm’s scheduler can dynamically lower the CPU’s frequency that way.
(2) They can create a hybrid “ARM64EC” app where Windows and its libraries and Qualcomm’s drivers run natively, but the rest of the app is emulated, for “near-native” performance.
(3) Or, they can do next to nothing, and their game should just work anyhow — using x64 emulation.
