The reason these are all roughly equivalent in pricing is due to the fact that they really are in the same general performance tier, despite regardless of generation. So really, the prices do make sense in that respect, the problem is that newer cards that come out aren't getting any cheaper, especially at the lower tiers, which tend to be similar performance, but even more money.Used cards between $200 and $100 are still all over the damn place.
The complete stagnation of performance with the current gen means 6600XTs/6600/5700xt/3060/3050/2070(S)/2060(S)/A750/1080Ti are all smashed together between $100-$200 with no rhyme or reason for their sale prices.
The 980ti performance tier is all stuck around $75-$100, which is too damn much for a 9 year old card.
It seems to me that for the time being, GPU prices may actually be increasing, as previous gen supply is starting to dwindle.
