Last time I saw server merges the game I was playing folded.

This was done to make match making better. With all the match making changes they have made, more people on a server makes for better match making. The east coast server didn't have this issue, but the west coast server did. So this should fix those issues. The number of people playing the game here in the states has not really changed. Still in the ~25k active players at any given time on normal days. Goes higher during events. Admittedly is tiny compared to the EU, RU, and CN servers.

That's not really a big deal. I played CS:S on a 90 ping on my favorite server (hosted by an old member here) and did very well in my glory days. Many players have higher pings and do well.

Yeah I played a bunch, did well. As long as the packet loss issue never comes back, should be fine I suppose.

Tier 10 games sometimes took 1-2 minutes to get into a game on USW. Especially if you were in a medium tank. But the other thing isn't waiting so much, as it trying to keep the matches even across tank types. This change was made in a recent mini-patch.

Also, I did not notice any of the terrible packet loss that has been plaguing the USW server over the last two months.

Don't forget, it's to also help the 30v30 stuff that is coming in the next patch too.

I do wonder if that'll help out the t8 matches. Seems like everytime I play t8, almost never top tier and once in a blue moon, all 8s.

I don't think it can help the T8 issue. That's all about the rations of tiers people play, not the number on the servers.

As long as people play a lot of T10, t8's will see a lot of T10.

The server merger hasn't affected my latency much at all. I am typically at 50ms or less (I'm in the east).

Also, anyone here considering the latest "special" offer/premium tank named the "Primo Victorio"? Its a special painted Swedish vehicle with a rock group crew (huh?). The tank comes in three flavors that cost $44, $58 and $70 respectively. Does anyone spend this kind of cash on this game? Years ago I discussed the issue of spending "large" sums of money on, what is basically a FTP platform and found some spending upwards of $500 or more. Do people continue to spend on the advertised "special" prices for this "premium" material? I ask because I've bought about 7 games in the last year ... all of them pretty good games and haven't spent $50 total. Spending even $44 for a "premium" tank seems excessive.

Your thoughts/opinions would be appreciated ...

If you play in tier viii+ you need a premium account and a premium tank to have your economy working, or you have to buy silver.

I have only bought one premium tank Löewe, and just bought a year subscription of premium when there were 15% discount.

I might buy another premium if one of those I would like to have goes on sale.

Currently it is the only game I play, so I save a lot by not buying other games, and my hardware is more than sufficient, so also saving money by not having to upgrade.

biostud, I pretty much agree; I recommend to people the best purchase is one tier 8 premium, as you got with the Lowe (good pick). That's enough to grind credits if you want.

I spent hundreds buying premium as you did, but I've now stopped giving them money - the first reason is an objection to their policy on hate speech, but the second is that now with all the tanks I want, I can just play any tank for fun. It's nice to get there.

You didn't ask, but for anyone considering premiums, others to consider - and everyone has different tastes - are the Scorpion which is nice for damage and being able to shoot down more than most tanks; and the 8.8 German TD with nice armor and a very fast reload.

I finally got LT-15 4th campaign done.

Oddly enough, I think LT-15 on 3rd campaign was spot 6k but this was combined 8k spotting and dealing. :/ I thought it was just pure spotting 8k, so I was slightly disappointed not getting 8k but only 6k, until the end results came in.

I also luckily got a 3rd Mark on my E-75, making it my highest tier 3rd MoE. Tiger 2, easy, was the highest.

HT-15 4th campaign, Obj. 260 completed in none other, E-100... Yup, not a typo. E-100. 8.5k damage + 2700 HP + 4100 blocked = 15k. 1k over the required.

I am doing the 3rd campaign ones. I have TD finished (it was easy). Need to do HT15, which is going to be tough. Also need to do MT15, which is an annoying RNG mission. Kill two TD's a tier higher. ALMOST had it earlier, but the kill was stolen just as I fired.

In other news, the sandbox server right now is pretty awesome. The redone maps do play a bit different. Some areas were changed making for a bit different game play.

I missed TD-15 by 200 damage in my most hated, lowest win rate 45% ( or so ) Obj. 268. I had no idea was I was close, in the middle of 4k damage, if I would have shot a more full health E-100 instead of a 200 HP one (removing a gun) I might have gotten it.

I have yet to do MT-15 also but really haven't played MTs much while trying for that mission.

Yeah, the newly kind of style maps are interesting. I want to play it more but, when I play LTs, it's 12 LTs vs 12 LTs. Or 12 HTs vs 12 HTs. MM is funky'ish right now on it.

*SO* happy they fixed the missions in yesterdays patch. Was finally able to move on from LT7 for the T55a, which required you to spot and destroy 3 SPG's. Which in todays MM is nearly impossible. The whole mission structure is really cool too. You can now bypass missions that are a PITA. I will probably bypass the HT15 mission just so I can get the T55a.

Tank tweaks all seem to be for the better. And the revised MM is REALLY nice. I can now get top tier as a T8 on a regular basis. And the way they now line up tank types is really cool. All in all, good patch.

You don't have too. You can buy out the missions by doing other missions with honors. You can go back and do easier missions from the Stug IV set and use the orders on the T55a or Obj260 missions.

Anyone having stability issues with the latest version? It hanged one time when I just entered a game and twice while loading a map. Took a long time for the computer to end task too. Have to gave up playing today.

I played some more today. Everything runs rock solid, but whenever I play the M53/55 arty it crashes. I guess I'll skip playing the arty until the next update arrives.
