I just look for builds that aren't handi-cap damage wise but while still not so fragile you can't learn how to do pinnacle bosses or other end game type stuff, while also not being prohibitively expensive to gear out 75% of their capability.

Well I decided on Boneshatter, got through Acts over the weekend. Leveling experience was OK, I think any build that depends on a single color is going to have a hard time. Felt like I was very socket/color starved but it was fantastic when I got a upgrade until I needed another.

Only went through first Ascension this weekend. Haven't touched league mechanic yet.
Still using Sunder, but build definitely already feels tanky without even really doing anything special or paying attention to gear. I assume there's a trick to keeping up mana. Right now I'm just popping blues constantly,.

I still have a mana flask, but found one with enduring which is nice cuz it keeps refilling even if I'm full. So far the only attempt to "fix" it is -mana costs on rings. I'd have to look at the mana leech on the tree or try and get it on jewelry. Oh there's one on the way to precise technique and thick skin. Might be worth it for the QoL.

One odd twist from the forum guide is keeping hp below accuracy for the 40% damage buff from precise technique. Right now I'm just BARELY able to maintain it with precision reserving life, but it's already at level 18.

Also any suggestions for atlas points this build would do well at? Being tanking means heist would be fine, I like Abyss for density and ilvl, but past that I don't like delirium, unsure how well it can handle blight. Oh with sanctum being core now and melee that is mostly out as well.

Are you looking for general advice on what to pick to make currency? If it's a what should I play question then I would generally say play what you find fun. If it's what are good strategies without high investment question, then I can give some tips.

Eh I just decided to spec into delve, not that there’s much. Want to try new content this league but didn’t know if a given build was good at said content. I don’t look to get rich.

Update, I am enjoying Delve, and it probably dropped about ~3ish total divines worth of currency for me this weekend so I got that going for me... Probably not the most optimal class for it, but it seems to handle it pretty well.

Also new atlas nodes, extreme archaeology is makes expeditions in normal maps AMAZING. Just have to make sure you don't pop a node thats immune to your damage type and then be ready to face all the spawns at once. Haven't tested it in an expedition map. Spec'd into Timeless conflict for legion, haven't been able to see it in use yet, but hoping it makes getting just the stuff you want to pop that much easier, but unsure how fast the schism bar will fill up.

Luckily got a 1D cluster jewel drop so that helped it getting some gear.

That being said, this boneshatter build is like cheating. I've had a few lucky drops and been able to spec out pretty well, but its rare that I'm even getting into trouble with this build. Just into red maps at this point

I would definitely start with a better axe and Divergent Boneshatter. Those two changes alone will not only give you better DPS but it will FEEL drastically better to play. I'll guarantee you'll have more fun with the build just from those changes.

Divergent Boneshatter is easy, but buy an uncorrupted one. It's just an "in case" so you don't have to buy it again if you happen to get an Ashes of the Stars.

For the axe, you can either buy one or make one yourself. If you decide to buy one then look on this list and make sure to get one that also has another damage modifier with it like double damage, double damage while focused, culling strike or attack speed when near rare/unique. https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Ancestor/9qLDjLOSK . If you can't find one in your budget with an extra damage mod and don't want to wait for one to show up then you can make your own for 2-4D or just buy a cheap one for 5D or less and re-sell it later.

Finally, for your skills I would dump Melee Damage for Impale and Ruthless for a 20/20 Increased Duration. See how those few changes feel and let me know.

Have played in the past. Was a decently fun build. If I recall it was too much clicking for my tastes (I'm a lazy player) but overall it was fun and pretty easy to build with notable boosts along the way

Hah, I mean I get RF builds as enjoyed a few, but I don't mind clicking it the clicks are doing stuff that really help. Otherwise a ice shot dead eye also seems attractive.

SRS Gaudian is coming along nicely. I had two builds to follow and chose what I think is the lazier one. Just shield charge my way through the acts. If I hit a yellow/unique spam SRS and then shield charge again.

Just hit mapping and seems to still work fine. Have yet to get a good drop to get into some proper gear though. Haven't played with the league mechanic too much. I do have the mapless woods though, but I get why it has to be that way.

Saving up for a wand but my drops have been crap. Almost up to 6D worth.

There's a variety of ways to build this guy and I'm not super familiar with all of them. I built my guy around a Fleshcrafter, Aegis Aurora, and Mind over Matter. I finished the league on day 9 and my gear around day 5, so the prices I paid are out of date now. But I only paid about 15-16D for all my gear.

My damage is about 5x yours and my EHP is 2.5x yours. I was able to do fairly juiced up wisp maps and I was farming Uber bosses before I quit. So you should be able to do anything you want at my investment level. Fusings are 3:1 right now and you can benchcraft a 6L for 1.5D, so don't over pay for chests. Also, for wands, unless you're trying to hit a lvl 25 Spectre, a high minion damage/attack speed wand is much better than a +1 wand with lower stats. Take note of immunity to poison and ignite I acquired through the Abyss jewels and belt setup. With my setup I was immune to shock, freeze, poison and ignite.

I ran 3 spectres and an AG setup that I didn't put into the PoB. Those were mainly for juiced up content with 5k+ wisps. They were Hulking Miscreation, Perfect Judgemental Spirit, and Perfect Thunderbird. The Hulk is just DPS boost and he's super tanky. The other 2 are EHP boosts but they tend to die in juiced up maps. You have to stay off to the edge of things and make sure you're using convoction a lot. I didn't even run any those during the Uber fights. So unless you're trying to do some juiced up maps and you need the extra EHP, just use some generic spectres like 2 carnage chieftains or whatever. Something that's free.
