Not sure what diet DF but otherwise I agree DF seems to calculate like everything I suspect Rimworld doesn’t however it is close enough imo.

DF is much more complex. On top of the obvious, like a z axis, common different races with different attributes... You've also got much more complex and specific interactions involving materials, weapons and combat and damage to characters, buildings including walls, more complex tech/resource systems... Religion, advanced biomes... And about a thousand more things I could probably list if needed.

yes but you likely wouldn’t be a colonist with Zin famous, yediyoda and Stg-flame. I am still bummed I didn’t fortify better. Stg’s ending was unsatisfying.

There likely will be a Stg 2.0 at some point.

I tried adding a save the hostage mod, which didn’t work with 1.2
I tried the admin panel hoping I could find a “hostage radios back command”-nope
I had fingers crossed I could resurrect Stg but no option because there is no body.
I hate using cheat commands but being kidnapped and killed sucks.

Such is life. I like to think I went down fighting but seeing as how I got my ass kicked by a squirrel earlier, I'm guessing a butterfly sneezed in my general direction and I fainted and died of dehydration.

I also got lucky and opened an ancient danger only to find a single pikeman and six cryptosleep caskets. I immediately opened the caskets and got six new recruits, though I'm probably going to send two of them on a very long walk since they are pretty much useless to me. That being said, I have new pawns. Artorias mentioned they'd like to be a pawn, so if anyone else wants in, tag me and I'll make it happen.

Edit: @Artorias temporarily ran away and decided to become a wild animal and live with the mega spiders in a cave but eventually saw the error in their ways after I eradicated the nest and tamed them back into civilization. Meanwhile, @zinfamous was nearly eaten by a cougar while they were out hunting an ostrich.

pyromania trait is very dangerous in rimworld, i fear my character will spend most of the time in a hospital bed ... otherwise .. will burn your base down

I should be said not a pyro he’s a sapper and a few other interesting things.

I've never had an issue with pyros in this game due to how slow fire is to spread. Not to mention, if you have everyone in your colony set to 1 for Fire Fighting priority, you'll never have a single issue. I can only recall one time where a thunderstorm/fire got out of hand and that was only because I was getting raided during a storm and lightning hit one of my storage buildings while I was out fighting.

There's a few things I always set to 1 for work priority on every single pawn and fire fighting is one of them.

This Episode is about the Colony growing and bad shots.
Editors Note some items may be out of order.

After a few days of farming and expanding the Colony the get word @Artorias is captive nearby and needs help. DHT & Zin leave to free him.

Artorias is a hard working teetotaler, he fills Jedi Yoda's building role well. Yoda now becomes the primary Doctor and Scientist. Yoda misses building but his back, knee, arm injuries make moving a slow difficult process.

To prepare for his new role as Scientist, Yoda bravely shoots two skill trainers into his eye. The Nano Bots unleash knowledge Joda never thought he could attain.

After a few days our Colonists come under nearly constant attacks from the Bannotuay Tribe, a tride of savage cannibals. The Bannotuay's typical tactic is to charge the base with little regard to injury. The Bannotuay are our gunned so defending the base isn't a tough task but cleaning the bodies up is a difficult task.

Artorias finally snaps from the pressure, the crap in his pants added insult to injury.


All the Colonists decided it was time for more relaxation, Jenny cooked some fine meals, DHT added to the dining area, Artorias worked on.....Art.
That evening Jenny held a party and all attended and had a great time. Atrorias has feelings for Jenny but she does not return his advances.

Zin becomes unhappy going to bed late with Jenny because that interrupts his horse shoe play time. The two work out a deal where jenny wakes later and zinfamous sleep longer. All seems well. Jenny isn't a caring woman but she is a good companion & cook. Zinfamous proposes to jenny after a few weeks. She accepts and they are married by the row of flowers Zin planted. They said their vows next to this piece of art.

I named her Jenny as in Jenny McCarthy. She’s turning out to be more like the chick from Forest Gump.
She’s always around but tends to wander far away. She flirts with all the guys. She is incapable of caring for herself or others.

Broadcast note: Some things are out of order. The Zinfamous incident happened over two nights of play time.

Jenny got a distress call from @BurnItDwn. They rushed out to aid him and were ambushed by some bandits. Only small injuries that were easily handled. Burnitdown was in rough shape, after a few days of bedrest he was ready to help out.
Burnitdown is a big tough man. He is good to have around since the cannibals are attacking regularly.


BurnItDown does like to sneak a drink or some smoke leaf behind the barn.

The Colony has expanded well, having Yoda do the science work helps a lot. Yoda enjoys sitting down more frequently. Everything was coming together well until @zinfamous Ex-wife stopped by for a visit some other visitors. Her and Jenny laughed together but the next day there was a huge Pirate attack. Some say Tyspin alerted the bandits as to where Zinfamous was living

One Cannibal attack came from all sides and lead to multiple injuries. Half our people were bedridden.
Even worse they burned the storage barn and destroyed many of the coolers so food began to rot. Colony suddenly was low on food.


They would have been fine if @JEDIYoda didn't install the new coolers backwards.....Jenny was pissed about all her meals rotting.
Days dragged on while everyone had an empty belly. DHT had a break drown and started to break stuff. Everyone else was close to the breaking point. Suddenly a loud crash occurned near the base, it was a escape Pod and its occupant Lauren needed care. DHT carried her to the hospital bed, Yoda cared for her.


Lack of sleep, lack of food, constant attack brought Jenny, Artorias, DHT and Zinfamous into rages. They all wandered about breaking things and ganged up on Yoda hurling endless insults at him while he tended to Lauren.
Later that night while everyone was slept Lauren decided to quietly leave. Too many lunatics in this settlement.

Yoda was able to craft a TV and everyone's mood improved. Food situation was improving. Things were looking good again until.......

Jenny wanted a exceptional quality revolver that was lost nearby. She pestered Zin to go with her to get it. Zin knew this was a bad idea but agreed since it was close by. Jenny & Zin found the pistol but while inspecting it many rats of unusual size sprung from the ground and attacked. Jenny & Zin retreated to get better shots at the rats, they took several down but Jenny ended up with a wounded rat attacking her and Zin had two healthy rats attacking him. Zin carefully aimed at the rat on Jenny and killed it. Jenny attempted to do the same but put one round into Zins Chest and another into his Groin (Zins pelvis was shattered).

After dealing with the rats Zin crawls over to Jenny to tend her wounds. He uses their only Glitter world med pack. Then Jenny rests because she is incapable of caring for others. Zin desperately radios back for help, he is losing blood quickly, has a shattered pelvis and can barely move. Jenny is not strong enough to carry him.....

That is all for now, I'll update later with what happens.
