I like how Lauren the crash survivor just stayed long enough to walk then left.
Not sure if that was a game mechanic or me clicking the wrong button but either way it was funny she left after everyone but Yoda broke down, it was funny she left while all were sleeping.

Depends on how you retrieved her. There's a few different options for what you can do but it's also possible you rescued her but she just didn't want to stay.

With great sorrow I must report that the colony was obliterated earlier today. Had an infestation pop up in my freezer and called everyone in to deal with that and during the scuffle, two of my best pawns were injured (slightly) and before they were healed fulled, I had pirates land inside my base with drop pods. With some of my pawns out hunting and mining, two down in the infirmary, they picked us off one by one rather quickly. The only ones left in the colony are my Rhinos. The last two pirates killed themselves when they started clubbing my Boomalopes.

This Episode was spoiled by loss of footage, I have learned Steam screen shots don't last more than a few days if you don't upload them.
Havinf @JEDIYoda and Ellen team up and focus on research his helped the colony greatly. They have learned how to deploy defensive turrets, geothermal power, better clothing options, flack armor, some anti malaria stuff and other things including carpeting that makes all the bedrooms more comfortable.
Cannibal attacks have decreased and running a trade root to a nearby tribe that will always pay for food has helped the budget. Weapons have been mostly upgraded and things are looking good.
@Artorias bravely and foolishly went on a rescue mission alone. All but Yoda and him were on a trade mission, Artiruas knew it was going to be dangerous but headed out to rescue the lost survivor. He found the lost man in the woods and they were attacked by wolves, Artorias too some damage but it wasn't too bad. He desperately tried to bandage the survivor but the random number gods were not on his side so he packed up and rushed back to camp where there is better supplies and Yoda who is a more skilled surgeon. Sadly on the way back Artorias bled out and his caravan was lost. Hope is Artorias was picked up by a local tribe and will be able to escape. No word of his death has arrived.
Yoda tried to rescue them but he travels too slow, while Yoda was attempting to find Artorias the camp was empty and a fire broke out in the barn *again*.
@BurnItDwn & DHT rescued Kasuni from many Cannibals, tough fight was made easier by the Cannibals being so hungery they attacked a Muffalo. The Muffalo tore threw several cannibals and Burnitdown finished them off one by one.


Kasuni is sort of irritating but it is great to have a medic backup.

It's under user-data, but you have the find the games ID number which can be a pain if you had a lot of games installed.

If you take a screenshot, and then wait for the up-loader to appear you can click show on disk, that will get you to the folder.

Not sure if that's just a caravan thing in one of your screenshots above, but you can easily section off your gardens from your animals by creating a new zone, clicking "Invert" and then deselecting your gardens and assigning all your animals to the new zone. You can also zone off your kitchen/freezer and other places like prisons, bedrooms, and hospitals to cut down on animal filth all over your home. For gardens, I always keep a one-tile space around the entire garden zone because pawns will often harvest plants and leave them outside the garden zone which animals will immediately head over to eat first.

I’ve been messing with that. I set up a “duck” zone in the beginning. I had 20 wild ducks self tame and wander in which I thought would be great for the eggs but they simply crapped on everything and were constantly eaten by wolves. Within a half hour of game time I lost around 8 of them. So I slaughtered the rest.
I do allow animals into the refrigerated barn and the fields to get food. Overall I tend to have a lot of stuff growing at any given time.
I may relocate the nutrient paste machine elsewhere and a setup a prepared foods fridge. Kitchen and meat storage fridge generates a lot of dirt.
I found a mod called “work smarter” (I think). Makes pawns clean up before working at a bench or station. Nice quality of life mod.

BTW, I find humor in how @zinfamous ’s wife and he had an argument, couple of days later the “accidentally” shoots him in the groin/pelvis.
Plus she is incapable of treating the wound.

Poor Jenny, she stood guard while @zinfamous and Ella were carried to safety and she wasn't smart enough to get treatment herself.
Yoda's slow speed didn't help and Yoda never liked Jenny. Almost like he didn't want to treat her.
Zinfamous survived but was bitter about losing his wife. He took his rage out on Aio

@BurnItDwn 's Dad was saved by BurnitDown. Cyro sleep does weird things his Dad is only two years older than him. Henceforth he will be called BurnitDad.

BurnitDad is an odd fellow his art skills are underestimated at first but greatly appreciated later on. Stuff is useful and can sell for good coin.
*Is it sexist that I allowed Jenny to frolic nude but I do not allow BurnitDad to frolic nude?*

@aigomorla radio'd for help, he was being held by 4 Pirates with 4 Turrets.
Big shoot out with the Pirates. BurnitDad took some gun shot wounds, Zinfamous was burned freeing Aigorla from captivity. You may be asking why @zinfamous was burned. BurnitDad cannot be trusted with incendiary devices. He was a poor choice to take out the turrets & turret back up batteries.


BurnitDown's and BurnitDad's cannot stand the lack of smoke leaf, they are on edge with this and their wounds. The trip back to camp was miserable for all.

I am enjoying these but I'm also very surprised you've had so much luck keeping the colony going despite all the events. I tried to start two new tribal colonies but each one ended within the hour. I'm sure if I go back and start on the easiest settings, it won't be an issue, but I think if I do another run, I'm going in with tons of mods as well as the DLC.

Things feel productive and fragile.
I am at Cassandra Classic. I’ll be stepping up to Randy Random soon.
There have been some unnamed deaths that I haven’t covered because they were boring pawns with boring ends.
I am surprised @JEDIYoda & @zinfamous have sustained so many injuries but recovered from them all.
More or less recovered....

I thought being so close to the corner of the map was a mistake when your pawn got captured but after knowing the weak spot the corner is a good location. Two geothermal spots, plenty of places for water mill power and nice defensive chunk of rocks. People attacking from the South are slowed by the water, from the North or West they get cut down by the turrets and the East they get hung up behind the barn (I’m waiting for someone to get capped while smoking leaf behind the barn) or get stuck in the mud while turrets fire at them.
Accidental genius location. Trade has been good too, close to two friendly allies.
The Silver asteroid crash helped out a lot, I was able to put down sterile tiles aggressively and was able to purchase some decent weapons plus a bunch of glitter world medicines early on.
I am running low on metal and components, I’m thinking about relocating.

Aigomorla crafts powerful smoke joints. Powerful enough to satisfy BurnitDown, BurnitDad and Kasuni. The colonists get nervous when Kasuni is doing surgery while stoned.

haha wish I was that smart. Your pawn had a derbie he wore. He took it from an early raider or found it somewhere. He wore that all the time until it fell apart.
id tell him to drop it and he would but later he’d put if back on.
Sort of funny.
Been making a lot of cowboy hats because of the heat, cowboy hats and dusters because they’re cool.

Cowboy hats also provide a social bonus and are generally the best hat to use for every occasion unless you're settling in the snow-capped portions of the map. Even through a harsh winter, your pawns will be fine without tuques so long as you don't keep them outside for extended periods of time.
