Seriously. It's absolutely obscene how so many articles are fawning on him for simply doing a basic part of the job after preventing a very important and bipartisan bill from getting a vote for so long. And who also helped kill a border deal for Trump
He is terrible and happened to finally have a brief moment of clarity
Yea I'm still thinking about this - i think it has to do with at last it has been proven a MAGA can actually be de-radicalized.

French boots are coming. Other European boots will follow. Dont worry about it.
The only way out for Putin at this point is MAD.
Dead man walking. He just doesnt know it yet.
Please elaborate. I didn't know they were planning on actually putting troops in UKR.

Mike Johnson is an extreme right-winger. MTG and her merry band of lunatics flinging poo on him doesn't change that. Just because Sauron's orcs fight with Saruman's doesn't mean they aren't all still orcs.

If Democrats cut any deals to help Johnson, they need to be "transactional" and not involve any kind of future considerations. I wouldn't trust Johnson to hold to his word on anything, him being such an outspoken Christian zealot and all.

Well I think the Democrats might be willing to 'help' Johnson just to prevent 8 months of no leadership for the house; of course the rumor that several republicans might resign if Johnson is remove as leader might encourage the Dems to not help Johnson because that would give them the majority.

Time will tell either way MTG is an idiot and the fact that she was elected not just once but TWICE sez something about her district.

Mike Johnson is a right wing Christian so he has to approve anything for Israel, as per his voters and supporters etc. But this money will come back to the US because of the military industrial complex, as former US president Eisenhower warned you about. You never listened. I wonder how long will these weapons take to be delivered.

Normally America wants more war and wants to instigate more conflicts but for the time being, it wants the Israel-Iran conflict to not expand because it cannot meet the requirements of both Israel and Ukraine. Let’s not even bring Taiwan into this because America has no chance of doing anything in the SCS. China is simply too dominant there. And I don't see China doing anything too crazy because for them their economy is too important than fighting wars and bombing people - that's something the US does, not China. But this aid for Taiwan is simply to instigate China, nothing more. Another ridiculous US foreign policy move, one after another one. Why is this?

Americans want the Israel-Iran conflict to quiet down because it doesn’t want the Patriot missiles to be all used up by Israel. America knows of Iran’s big missile arsenal so Israel will use too many of these. They know they need all these air defense missiles for Ukraine because America has a short supply of these weapons. We know the defense industry capability of America is not very impressive so it even cannot meet Ukraine’s requirements let alone both Ukraine and Israel. That is why the Europeans have to scrape up ammunition etc while the Americans have to beg rest of the world, such as South Korea and Pakistan for 155mm rounds. Yet when North Korea apparently sends Russia some ammunitions the Western world celebrates - they claim this is a weakness etc. Well, why can't Russia get weapons for its allies as well?

Even the anti-Russia Moscow Times reports Ukraine is suffering:

Moscow's forces have steadily been gaining ground in the Donetsk region, which the Kremlin has claimed as part of Russia.

The claim of Novomykhailivka's capture from the Russian Defense Ministry came just after the head of Ukrainian military intelligence warned that fighting for his country's forces in the east would likely get much harder in the coming weeks.

Outgunned and outmanned Ukrainian forces have for months struggled to hold back Russian troops, who are expected to soon step up their offensive.

"In our opinion, a rather difficult situation awaits us in the near future," said Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence

"But there will be problems starting from mid-May. I am talking about the front in particular," he said in an interview with the BBC's Ukrainian service.

Russian economic developments simply continue. Western sanctions will prove to be more damaging to Europe and maybe even America, as we see in Germany.

Germans have to beg China to not abandon them as China is a key component in Germany's economy. For instance, without China, their car industry would suffer greatly. That is one reason Olaf Scholz, weak leader of Germany, has to travel to China to beg for China's attention.

While America wants to ban TikTok, Scholz has even decided to make an account there to appease the Chinese. Strange?

Look at this guy on TikTok:

Article from Politico:

If only. Though Scholz's unexpected TikTok endorsement was more sad Kabuki than entertaining jig, he was grooving. Coming just a few days before his visit to China, the controversial social network's home base, Scholz appeared desperate to convince Beijing that a friend was en route.
And for good reason: Scholz needs China.
With the next national election just over a year away, the leader of Europe’s sputtering economic engine is running out of time to conjure a miracle and reverse his government’s calamitous standing with the German population.
Scholz's three-day visit to the Middle Kingdom, which begins Saturday, will be both his longest and most important foreign trip since he assumed office in late 2021. For the chancellor, beset by record-low approval ratings and a fractious coalition, the tour is an opportunity not to just prove he has global standing, but to show voters he'll do whatever it takes to preserve Germany, Inc. — Zeitgeist be damned.

That is something else right? I am sure his American allies must not be too pleased by this, but what other choice does he have? Germany badly needs China for so many things.

As I mentioned earlier in this post, Russia economic developments simply continue:

Russia invites all the interested countries to participate in development of the North - South international transport corridor (ITC), President Vladimir Putin said at the joint meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with veterans - Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) builders.

"Just as the BAM, which became indeed the all-Union construction project, was called to serve interests of all the [Soviet] Union republics, the North-South transport corridor should become an example of the broadest international cooperation," Putin said. "We invite all the interested countries to take part in this project," he noted.

The ITC resembles the BAM by its scale, Putin said. "It actually links the Northern Sea Route to the Persian Gulf," the Russian leader said, adding that the route is being laid "for purposes of expedited economic and social development of Eurasian and Global South countries.".

You do realize the US has millions of stockpiled shells, right? We have zillions of them even though we don’t use artillery as our primary method of fighting. The US has made the (incorrect) decision to only send our surplus to Ukraine because we want to reserve the ability to annihilate Russia’s military if we ever feel like it.

Pretty funny to watch you spin yourself up to blame the US if China invades Taiwan though. Just like with Ukraine if China invades Taiwan it will be China’s fault and no one else’s.

Remember, Russia is a highly aggressive power that wants endless war - the only way they will stop is if they are stopped. Just look at their long history of invading anything and everything near them.

It’s funny to me that many people here begged and begged and begged for Johnson to pass this bill, but when you actually take a look at the bill, only a small fraction of it actually goes directly in the form of arms to Ukraine. The bulk of it just goes back to MIC to replenish what has already been sent, and money to keep the Ukrainian government afloat, among other things.

The only thing this bill ATTEMPTS to do is prevent the total collapse of Ukraine from now until the elections. That’s it. And even then it’s not a guarantee that won’t happen. More drip feeding them for the next 6 months.

My guess is regardless of whoever wins the election, Ukraine will either be finished or forced to get the negotiating table. Biden nor Trump, regardless of whoever wins will not want to deal with this catastrophe for another 4 years.

And after all is said and done, Russia has had to go begging around the world for help with their invasion of a legitimate underdog nation that is overperforming in the defense of their country, while Russia has proven to be effective only in the sense that they have many more people to sacrifice than the Ukrainians do. Quantity over quality is not something to brag about, especially when who can send more people to their deaths are the deciding factor between victory or defeat.

This is ridiculous because then why is the US holding them back? Ukraine is a heavy artillery country - they fight based on the Soviet ideology. They need a lot of artillery to be successful on the battlefield because in this current fight with Russia, the side with less artillery will lose. That's the type of war both sides are fighting. Are you saying that the US is a bad partner to Ukraine?

China is not going to invade Taiwan because that's not how it operates. America might try to instigate a war by putting so many military ships in the area though. That's a very dangerous move.

Ukraine has collapsed since its economy is in terrible shape and people are leaving if they are able to. Only the rich politicians seem to be doing well with their luxury purchases, etc. So the only reason why things appear to be function there is, as you mention, because of the endless billions by the US. Good point on the election: the Americans simply want Ukraine to hold until the election. With the amount of money being dumped on Ukraine, that might actually happen. But after that? I don't think these US politicians know or care.

Ultimately the US military industry will make so many profits and get bigger, thus requiring more wars to keep growing. That is an evil system.

Of course not. The US has been enormously helpful to Ukraine, the decision has been made to help Ukraine only to the extent that the US also reserves its overwhelming military dominance over the rest of the world regardless. I mean look at the catastrophic damage inflicted on Russia by what amounts to castoffs the US would otherwise throw away.

It has no bearing on the fact that the US has massive stockpiles.
China is not going to invade Taiwan because that's not how it operates. America might try to instigate a war by putting so many military ships in the area though. That's a very dangerous move.

Russia is not begging, Russia just has capable allies who have good industrial bases. America has to beg Pakistan to send artillery rounds to Ukraine, along with other countries. Plus, we can see Russian industry has no problems keeping up with supply the military with what they need. New tanks are being produced, way more artillery rounds than the entire West combined, etc.

But I thought Western media said Russia was using shovels?! Ok sorry, but Russia has problems no doubt. I am sure the people are not happy too much with the length of this conflict, plus they have so many men on leave, etc. This is a drain on the economy. So I am not pretending everything is fine in Russia either.

I like how when Russia asks countries to send ammo because it’s running out that’s just good friends being good friends but when US allies send ammo to Ukraine it’s ‘begging’.

You’re drowning in propaganda and you’re not able to think rationally about any topic involving the US.

After all your own logic said the US invasion of Iraq was justified and then you just covered your ears and refused to hear it anymore because it conflicted with what your propaganda tells you.

Plus, we can see Russian industry has no problems keeping up with supply the military with what they need. New tanks are being produced, way more artillery rounds than the entire West combined, etc.

Russia had enormous stockpiles of ammo and equipment it has swiftly burned through. Their production comes nowhere close to meeting their rate of expenditure.

I mean what level of cope are you at now where you see T-55 tanks being used and think to yourself ‘Russian production is totally meeting their needs’?

Well, if a T-55 can take towns like Russia is taking, then no need for Armata, right?

Like for example, if Ukraine can be successful with the old American stuff then no need to send them new stuff right? So the point is that Russia has no shortfalls that we can see. The offensives are happening in large scale. This is too much for Ukraine to handle, even Budanov is saying this. I don't hear him talking about T-55s. Do you?

If the entire West is sending Ukraine weapons, what's the problem with Russia's allies send it weapons too? You want an equal fight or you want Russia to fight the entire West with no allies?

Chinese aggression? LOL what a joke. China is aggressively building other countries' infrastructure and building economic relationships. That's the only aggressive thing it is doing. America has no right to speak about aggressive behavior of other countries when no country has started more wars in recent history than America.

China is a very peaceful country compared to America, based on recent history at least. Yeah it has border disputes, so do many countries. Let's focus on the SCS for now: America sending so many ships and planes in that region is a very aggressive move. So who is being aggressive here?

Their advance is glacially slow and at enormous cost so yeah they desperately need better kit.

Do you know anything about war? This makes zero sense. The goal is overwhelming victory at as small a cost as possible. Russia has had its army decimated at enormous cost to them. If they could avoid this they would.
If the entire West is sending Ukraine weapons, what's the problem with Russia's allies send it weapons too? You want an equal fight or you want Russia to fight the entire West with no allies?
Huh? Who wants a fair fight? Did we want a fair fight against the Nazis? Russia is basically the modern incarnation of the Nazis so no, I want them defeated as thoroughly possible.

So they aren’t using their secret good weapons because they enjoy taking thousands of casualties for small gains?

Your last paragraph is just fucking bazaar.

Taking more casualties in a week than America took in ten years in Afghanistan is apparently the mark of a highly successful, well equipped army.

lol.
