I did a rip cut into my index finger a year or so back. Not as painful as one would think, though I did miss the bone. Really surprising though.

I have a pic if anyone is interested.
Haven’t cut myself (yet - knock on wood) on my table saw but did take a nice bruise to my abdomen from kickback on my old shitty craftsman job site table saw. No riving knife and a shitty fence meant it was easy to wedge a work piece.

I was happy to move up to a modern dewalt jobsite saw that actually had a riving knife and a stable fence last year. Would have got a Saw Stop if it was little cheaper and had t ready some derogatory reviews about the fence system.

I actually don't know exactly how I did it. My hand was at least 6" from the blade, there was a bang, and my finger was split. This was on a full size cast iron saw with a riving knife and a quality fence. My first accident using a table saw after 50 years of use.

Those saws have so much power that once it grabs a piece your hand is along for the ride Glad you kept your finger.

Good reminder to me to be more diligent about using push sticks and maybe even the blade guard.

This was kinda spur of the moment given today was a work day, but decided to go to Canadian Tire and got a new AGM battery for the ATV as the old one was completely dead, think it had a bad cell. Installed it and was able to start it right up. Going to wire in a battery tender as well, it's something I should have done from the start.

Also had a leaky tire that I got fixed so now my ATV is all set. I can't wait to bring it to my off grid property and actually use it. Been sitting in my garage for over a year. I kinda jumped the gun on buying it. I got a little excited when I got my property and started buying stuff right away without a place to even put it.

300 dollars worth of white oak to repair a bench I bought for 300 dollars 30 years ago. Now I have to buy tools to replace the tools I gave away to do the project..

And, nutxo, once tools go into the shop...they never leave. Learn it, know it, live it. : ))

Damn, I love oak floors.

The mini PC I ordered came in yesterday, installed Linux Mint on it and it works SO MUCH BETTER than the Raspberry PI that was there before. All setup as my new HTPC. SNES for scale. These are really cool little machines.

I eventually want to buy like a dozen of them to make a VM cluster. Maybe in like a year or so from now. Still have money to spend on power upgrades so will finish that first. I might also design a custom blade chassis for them, it would look kind of cool having a bunch lined up vertically in the rack.

Forgive the terrible cable management. I just shove stuff in there and call it good lol.

Got me a new, but used, old mans bicycle!
My 2nd Townie, this one is grip shift rather than my old trigger shift. So damn comfortable to cruise around on!

As much as I'd like a "road bike" I'm not willing to risk death on the bay area roads. Those guys who rides west of Woodside have balls of steel and way too much faith in drivers! I'll stick to my Peloton!

Forced into the trigger shift, love it now. I imagine that would change if someone gave me a new bike....

Not something I really wanted to buy or very exiting, but...
My faithful 1989 Maytag washer finally developed a leaking agitator shaft seal, leaking grease into the washer. Due to corrosion, it can't be fixed reasonably, plus the transmission probably has water in it. Never had a single repair...

So shopping big box stores and looking at all the junk appliances, I ended up going the the same local appliance store where we purchased this machine.

Got a new Speed Queen being delivered next week:

Got a great deal on it. Not as good as The Maytag, which was a housewarming gift from my wife's grandparents.

I'm sure it won't last 35 years without a single repair.

Got a brand new helmet from the thriftshop for $7. It's worth $100. I have two that are the newer redesign, but I couldn't pass this up. Getting ready to buy a visor for it at ~half price since it's the older design. Can always use a spare.
