You could test the efficiency of the different cores if you are able to pin the process and lock the frequency.Ill have the 8500G to test either today or tomorrow.

Maybe AMD stopped optimizing for Vega 2 years ago after they launched RMB? I cant belive that suddenly an 5700G cant run anything. Ill have to test myself.Hm very interesting , R5 8500G it's faster or pushes out more FPS than the R7 5700G as well.

I really didnt expected Vega to run so slow vs the 8500G in an old game like GTAV or Rainbow Six Siege(the same old games that run faster on the GTX1050TI). If the game engine likes high GPU frequencies, Vega is in trouble vs very high 2800mhz iGPU.

Remember the 5700G runs at 2000mhz its not like it is slow either.

Its not matching it, it is better by a significant margin.RDN3 is not only clocked 35% higher, it has better IPC and the DDR5 provide 50% higher bandwith, at the end of the day it s not surprising that 4 RDNA3 CUs can match 8 Vega CUs.

6 years actually.8600G exhibits linear scaling in Witcher3 - I am wondering where lies the threshold of diminishing returns with increased memory bandwidth - 8600G is still only 2/3 of the full die's 12 CUs...
I am also in awe from 4CUs RDNA3 steamrolling "old trusted" Vega 8CUs (to be honest it was loong overdue to stop being utilized in APUs - It was used for 4 years in 4 APU generations!)
If the OS and firmware are also fully updated I'd suggest using the auto detect and install option. You can always trash it afterwards, if it works.@Shivansps

I downloaded Adrenaline 24.1.1 directly from AMD as they are the recommended ones, but I get error 182 when trying to install them (hardware not recognized)

The Vega-Polaris one is 1.3GB!!!24.1.1
But keep in mind that Vega and Polaris now are on the legacy branch, so currently there are two 24.1.1 drivers, one for RDNA gpus and other for Polaris-Vega.
