PC gaming is exploding in popularity, but there are many people who aren't interested and many (most?) of those who are PC gamers don't want to hook a PC up to their TV for various reasons. If a PS5 Pro underperforms, I don't think it will be because of PC gaming.
After my Atari 2600 and 800xl days I went to early PC gaming as the games I wanted to play or that interested me was on computers. The NES had some good stuff but nothing could come close to Sierra online or Lucasfilm games at the time. I have owned and still own pretty much every console and have always been a heavy gamer on both PC and consoles. But, when the PS5 came out and had the games I like and the exclusives I like I primarily play on the PS5. I still played graphic intensive games on the PC then all that stupid raytracing shit came out and MS xbox sucked to me as I think their exclusives suck.
Then I bought the Asus ROG Ally last year and I have not turned on my main PC since then. I got tired of playing the GPU game and the prices for a decent GPU is still, IMO, stupid. The last update I did on my main PC was a radeon 6700 XT and games looked the same as they did on my previous 1080 nvidia, albeit the 6700 xt was smoother, but RT was still shit. So, my PS5 is MORE than good enough for gaming and it has 8TB of storage. And for my PC gaming needs the Asus Ally is more than enough and it also has 8tb of storage. I also play my switch for Nintendo exclusives.
