All of it. Sonoma Valley Zen5c 4 cores is 400W.So what portion of Zen 5 revenue will come from >=300W parts?
And you were told that you'd get a good uplift in gaming performance with Zen 5 on DT. But you're not going to get a bespoke CCD that can't be reused on either server or mobile. Because DIY PC is a niche market.
And because it's an enthusiast forum, parts going into 50L+ boxes are ultimately not very interesting.
it has none. And wonder how much improvement memory bandwidth and IMC improvements and infinity fabric clock speed will play into it as well?
I ask because of that. Do you think all these mobile parts will have any impact on the notebook market? I understand some people are optimists but past performance is not in its favor regardless of its performance.Kinda a lot, all Turins are >300W.
yea.Do you think all these mobile parts will have any impact on the notebook market?
AMD did very well in mobile until Intel stuffed the channel with 282 vomit.I understand some people are optimists but past performance is not in its favor regardless of its performance.
They're like at 25% unit and higher revenue share.Consider how hard current AMD server products wipe the floor and yet it's what, 23% share?
yeah, i am sure people will talk how it forever changed the computing for generations. huh.oh you really have no clue about it huh
So what your saying is shutdown the forums because nothing in my lifetime Meets that definition. Everything is incremental improvement.yeah, i am sure people will talk how it forever changed the computing for generations. huh.
you don't have to be upset.yeah, i am sure people will talk how it forever changed the computing for generations. huh.
If you want to interpret what i wrote that way, i cant stop you.So what your saying is shutdown the forums because nothing in my lifetime Meets that definition. Everything is incremental improvement.
Probably only the Pentium pro and even that is use case specific
You definitely are and it's funny.i am not upset.
You're wasting your time with a guy that enjoys REDACTED people so let me cut the chase: Zen 5 even if priced high will still be a compelling enough product that Intel cannot compete. They can't lower the price of RPL any more, probably can't get a compelling enough price that still delivers margins with ARL, and are going to be seriously put against the wall now.OFC they have a choice. They can buy Intel, console, play on a phone or find another hobby.
What is cool product to you, is not cool for everyone. I could not care less about Halo Strix for example.
You are quite contrary aren't you.If you want to interpret what i wrote that way, i cant stop you.
Really not the point either. The single biggest x86 apu with the core that will probably be the single biggest gen on gen perf jump over current market leader doesnt meet the definition of being talked about as changing computing then literally nothing in the last 30 years has either......
You're talking of Turin Dense. Sonoma Valley is 4C 9-15W cheap mobile part. All of it. Sonoma Valley Zen5c 4 cores is 400W.
Intel cannot be allowed to continue unimpeded.
It's sarcasm. You're talking of Turin Dense. Sonoma Valley is 4C 9-15W cheap mobile part.
But volume sold will be low for Strix Halo. So is it just a showboat, or a technological prototype of what’s to come in Zen6 in higher volume, also on DT?Really not the point either.
It's just full of interesting design novelties which other Z5 parts lack.
Yeah who cares, it's in the name. But volume sold will be low for Strix Halo
Sort of.So is it just a showboat or a technological prototype of what’s to come in Zen6 in higher volume
Whats funny is your know-it-all attitude here, when you were already wrong on release date and naming scheme. You definitely are and it's funny.
-halo is the coolest and the only arguably new part out of the entire Zen5 lineup for reasons you'll find out circa CES'25.
Good luck.
You're talking of Turin Dense. Sonoma Valley is 4C 9-15W cheap mobile part.
Release dates and names change overnight.Whats funny is your know-it-all attitude here, when you were already wrong on release date and naming scheme
Not my problem.I dont care for Halo Strix and there is nothing to be found out at CES25 about it, that would change my mind about it. Pretty sure i wont trash my desktop for your "coolest" new part.
You were insisting on those, leaving no room for alternative. Did not exactly make it look like anything can be different, than you said it would be. But it was. And now you were wrong, out of blue they dont matter anymore.Release dates and names change overnight.
Its just fastest APU and everyone in need of proper discrete GPU, either for gaming or work, wont care for it. No matter how cool it is in your eyes. Deal with it. Some people have different preferences to you.Not my problem.
It's the only Z5 part that's actually interesting from raw technology POV.
Oh, there wasn't.You were insisting on those, leaving no room for alternative
Oh you really don't get it, huh.Its just fastest APU and everyone in need of proper discrete GPU, either for gaming or work, wont care for it. No matter how cool it is in your eyes. Deal with it. Some people have different preferences to you.
Talking about desktop parts, you claimed April, did not happen. You claimed 8xxx naming, its gonna be 9xxx. Wrong on both occasions - but yeah, there was no alternative. Except it was, as we can see.Oh, there wasn't.
Strix is still the same, August.
When out of arguments, just inform other party they dont get it. Cool. Nice talking with you.Oh you really don't get it, huh.
As someone that lurked these forums for two years, I feel bad for anyone new that tries to come to this site now. All the speculation threads lately are unreadable, compared to old ones, without out liberal use of the ignore button. It is, just put that poster on ignore and you are all set.
