    So why do you feel like a moron? It's not your fault, 72fps should be enough. I know people who can kick butt at < 40 fps... don't blame yourself. Try another game, if it's faster, you can be sure that your card and your pc rock, blame it on HL and keep playing.

    Find a Radeon 9000 PCI. The voodoo3 PCI is gonna be much faster than the i810, and the gfmx should be faster than the v3.

    If it weren't for the video stuff I'd ask why you even wanna upgrade. But since you mentioned video, I say you probably wanna get an All In Wonder (maybe an 8500). At least that way you can have all of those video features and when you do wanna play a game you'll be ok with that too.

    Anyone have a comment on the Xabre driver support? It's one thing to have a good card for cheap, but without stable drivers, the card is usually just plain worthless. After owning a perfectly stable voodoo5500 for these years, I don't know if I can handle a card that will crash on me.
