Leaked Wolverine gameplay footage from the recent hacks.
No lagging? Nothing annoying about the experience, like texture degrading, pixellation etc? They have fiber, I have Comcastic cable Internet.
Ha, no it was great. Spiderman Remaster had a little texture pop and the faintest delay, but otherwise was also super impressive. No lagging? Nothing annoying about the experience, like texture degrading, pixellation etc?
The fact that the Portal does not support bluetooth wireless headphones is a completely and utter failure/joke on Sony's part.
Ha, like the switch?
At least the Switch actually plays games. $200 for a streaming-only device is beyond laughable.
I purchased a 3rd party adapter for the Switch that came out years before BT was enabled on the Switch. It's also much better because it uses a lagless codec whereas the "official" support by Nintendo has lag. That itself is ridiculous.Ha, like the switch? Took like five years to enable and it’s essentially “at your own risk”. Very much to the point if you have issues other owners will likely tell you that you are holding it wrong.
I can see why they would do it too - so many garbage bt headsets out there might tarnish their launch.
But… not having their legit headset ready? That’s the true failure and joke imo. Costco demands a $300+ bundle 😂
I’ve had garbage luck with Bluetooth headsets on PC so whatever. I wish it was an open standard of some sort but seems unlikely. Maybe in a couple years Sony will “give” us the same sort of middling option after the proprietary connection sales peter out and whatever launch trajectory is already set.
Which one?I purchased a 3rd party adapter for the Switch that came out years before BT was enabled on the Switch. It's also much better because it uses a lagless codec whereas the "official" support by Nintendo has lag. That itself is ridiculous.
This one.Which one?
This one.
Genki Audio
Connect your favorite wireless headphones to your Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PSVR2, Windows, and MacOS. Genki Audio is a Bluetooth 5 adapter equipped with Qualcomm low-latency codecs. Compatible with Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Sony PlayStation 4/5, PSVR2 Laptop, iPad, Androidwww.genkithings.com
You need to find headphone that are aptx-ll (low latency) to get the lagless audio.
Having any kind of delay in audio when gaming is just something that I cannot do.
That is a very good point that I never thought about as far as lag. Literally the only device I've used wireless headphones on for gaming is my phone and my Switch, but both of them have been with APTX-LL headphones so I've never really had a problem tryin to deal with laggy sound. That’s likely exactly why Sony didn’t support BT, at least out of the box though. The number of people slamming it because their $15 “AirPods” has “unplayable” audio lag with the BT penalty AND streaming latency would have made it a serious subpar experience. Why would Sony do that to their launch? I get that it’s annoying but based on your posts I think you can see what an S show that would be and why Sony would want to avoid it. This has to be part of why Nintendo so viciously slow rolled their own support.
If we want to be annoyed about this, it would have been nice had the bt standard been updated years ago with more serious audio support rather than all this side action from Apple, etc patching up the deficiencies.
Maybe in the future Sony will announce support for BT with only select standards - I think the very latest standard update finally addressed audio lag? Once those headsets are available the lack of support will become more conspicuous IMO.
In any case, cannot the same adapter be used with the Portal? It seems like the switch paved the path for it in more ways than one. Thanks for the link!
It's supposed to have some very interesting titles. Rumored so farThere's going to be a State of Play tomorrow at 5 PM Eastern. Probably not worth watching live but hopefully From will show Shadow of the Erdtree finally.
I was expecting the rise of ronin to look more like ghosts of tsushima although it looks more like a PS4 game. I'll still probably get it to see how it plays.
I played death stranding but never got far in it so I'm not sure about the second since the stories may tie together.
Steller blade does look like that Nier Automata game I never tried but with more busty women lol.
Did that thing say anything about new PS5? I think I will probably finally get one if that is released this year.
Yeah NieR Automata is amazing. I wouldn't call them replays though as it's really just playing with different characters with some overlap in events but very different gameplay. I don't get why they call the third replay a replay since it's entirely new story. Being that it ran an unlocked framerate on PS4 I can't imagine it's not a straight 60 fps on PS5, though I haven't tried it since getting a PS5. It was definitely my second favorite game of the last console generation, behind only Bloodborne. Amazing story and soundtrack and I loved the fast paced combat. Plus you get an achievement for looking up 2B's dress lol.You should really play Nier Automata if you have the time (not sure if the console versions still have problems, but the steam version is pretty much fixed).
You have to like replaying games a few times, because that is how the game works...but it also doesn't really feel like you're replaying it. It's one of the best games of the last couple decades, I think.
